Agata Bogacka (1976-ban született Varsóban, ahol jelenleg is él és dolgozik) az egyik legfontosabb festő Lengyelországban, a 2000-es évek elejétől a kortárs művészeti szcéna aktív szereplője. 2001-ben a varsói Képzőművészeti Akadémián végzett és hamarosan széles körű elismertségre tett szert jellegzetes figurális akril festményeivel, amelyeken érzelmi állapotait és mindennapi tapasztalatait szinte naplószerűen fogalmazta meg.
Az utóbbi években Bogacka a poétikus geometria és a metafizikai absztrakció festői nyelvét használva, absztraktabb megközelítések felé fordult. A sima ecsetvonásokkal felvitt, többrétegű festési folyamat során létrejövő minimális kompozíciókon, valamint a színátmenetek, a formák, vonalak és üres felületek ritmusának harmóniáin és konfrontációin keresztül utal a személyek közötti kapcsolatok különböző pszichológiai és mentális állapotaira, feszültségekre és dinamikákra. Agata Bogacka (born in 1976, Warsaw where she lives and works) is one of the most important painters in Poland who is present in the art scene from the early 2000. Graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw in 2001 and soon she has gained wide recognition for her characteristic figurative acrylic paintings in which she recorded her emotional states and everyday experiences. In recent years, Bogacka has turned towards more abstract approaches, using the painterly language of poetical geometry and metaphysical abstraction. With minimal elements of compositions articulated in a multi layered painting process characterized by smooth brush strokes and through the harmonies and the confrontations of the gradient tones of colors, rhythms of forms, lines and plain fields she refers different psychological and mental states, tensions and dynamic of interpersonal relations. Her recent paintings are subtle visual analyzes of different emotional realities and trying to explore content beyond the tangibility of material substance.
